Hello all you wonderful people! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog. I’m so very sorry that I’ve been distant of late. My life has been thrown topsy-turvey, and I’m happy to share some of that with you!

First, my husband has lost all of his income. It was initially very frightening for me, but as the days passed I am feeling not only positive about our future, but energetic and excited! Not only is this just the kick in the pants that he needs to invest some much needed energy into some of his stagnant businesses, but also it has given me a reason to focus on my own career planning.

In an effort to ameliorate, I’ve adopted the Japanese philosophy of Kaizen – Constant and never-ending improvement of one’s self. With that in mind, I’ve started taking Tae Kwon Do classes (something I’ve wanted to do since middle school), joined Toastmasters (and won awards the first two meetings I attended for impromptu speeches) and am beginning to coach online and out of my home.

I have been blessed to be drawn to exactly the right people right now. I joined Twitter, and in a very short time I have well over 2,000 followers. I’ve made some amazing friends there, and am so excited about the partnerships I’ve made, the lessons I am learning and the constant support and uplifting that people offer there.

Within the next month, I’ll be launching www.JaneenBrown.com, my coaching and speaking website. It isn’t finished yet, and announcing this here to you right now is forcing me to have a deadline for it’s completion, and to solve the problems and fears keeping me from making it public. I’m getting speaking requests all the time, and my client base is beginning to grow and form already, forcing me to acknowledge that the joy that I’m feeling while doing those things is indeed a sign from the Universe that this is my perfect path.

Last year I watched the amazing hit movie The Secret (Extended Edition)
, and it changed my life. I began searching for the Secret’s speakers, and other works that they had created that might help me in my growth and interest in the Law of Attraction. The one that has had the most impact on me is Jack Canfield. I was incredibly touched by his book The Success Principles: How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be
, and encouraged my son to read The Success Principles for Teens
. I have learned about mastermind groups, and joined one group and am planning a 2nd group for other women that are on a similar career path to my own. I am also manifesting a meeting with Jack Canfield, and twitter about this regularly.

In addition to The Secret, I’ve also had a couple of other discoveries that have opened my mind and heart to new joy. The first is reading and learning about Abraham, and Esther Hicks. Abraham is full of joy and love, and their beautiful words have given me so much hope and power. The second is EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques. Learning how to use this for myself has made and incredible difference in how I begin my day and how I lead my life, and it is my goal to be able to offer it to my clients soon.

I am also purging from my life some things that I feel I have outgrown, or simply no longer serve a meaningful purpose in my life. I have implemented a program called Simple*ology to focus my time and energy and to better serve myself, my businesses and my family. Time management has really been difficult for me recently, but this program is really making a difference for me. Also, I have stopped my focus on anything that promotes the idea of lack. That includes no longer following survivalist/preparedness groups and people. Although I still feel strongly that having a healthy stockpile and being prepared is essential for my family (we live in the country, and a snow storm could mean we are not only without power, but access to food and water as well), but I now will be focusing on my stockpile as being another form of wealth, and I will NOT be visiting websites, participating in discussions or reading anything that pertains to the recession, depression, looming global economic threat, or any other crisis. For me, in my world and in my life, there is only abundance and prosperity and a healthy abundant economic future for my family, my community and my country.

With all of this change, you might ask me how my Your Impact Matters blog will fare. I love this blog so much, and I think I’ve done many of my readers a disservice by being so fickle in the amount of posts I create and the genre of the material. I am planning a return to it’s original familial style, and posting regularly about the home education of my two littlest children, in addition to my Earth impacting posts that I feel so strongly about.

I have received an outpouring of love from both my Twitter friends, and the readers of this blog, and I want to tell you all so much that I love you, that I appreciate you, and that it is with your help that I am filled with encouragement for the future of my family. Please continue to keep us in your prayers, thoughts and well-wishes. Kindly share your energy with us, or your communication with divine, whatever that may be to you. I am honored that you would be willing to think of us!
