My two year old, Amelie is a real plate thrower. When she decides that she’s done with her meal, that’s it…the plate goes flying. I’m on my knees cleaning food off the floor on a regular basis. If the phone rings or someone comes to the door during meal time, I know I’ll be cleaning bits of cottage cheese up off the linoleum!

The Baby Diner company sent me one of their diners to try. The product is a “shelf” for your child’s food dish, with suction cups to hold it in place and attach it to her tray or to the table. It comes with a convenient opening for your finger to slide in and pull up the suction cups when you are done.

I’m telling you right now…this product is GENIUS. We didn’t even follow the rules when we first used it. I use sectioned plates from Wal-Mart to feed my kiddos, so they don’t exactly have the flat bottom that the company recommends using. There is a larger main dish section of the plates, so that’s the part that I attached to the Baby Diner and it worked just fine. She ate her meal and even asked for more without being able to pick her plate up off the table. When she was finished, I was easily able to remove it so that she couldn’t start flinging the food! What a relief not to have to clean up the floor after her meal!
